The School House Cottage is located on all sports, but not all crowded Upper Herring Lake with 140' of private water frontage. The home sits on 2.5 acres on a quite, peaceful country road surrounded by a perfect blend of rolling hills, woodlands, orchards and vineyards. This 2100 sq. ft. Weekend Getaway in Northern Michigan is in a word, FUN!
You will be just minutes from Lake Michigan beaches, Frankfort and near many of Northern Michigan's premier vacation spots such as The Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City.
As an extra bonus we will include the use a Pontoon boat free of charge for your Michigan Family Vacation.

Learn what the locals know!! The best time to be in Northern Michigan is when the crowds are not!! Consider early June, the greenest and most beautiful time of the summer season or late August and early September, the weather is still warm and the water is warmer!! Less traffic, no lines, immediate seating, EMPTY BEACHES, etc… All this and you save $800-$1200 off your booking!
**Rates for 2007/2008 are as follows:
September 1, 2007 - September 8, 2007 = $1900/week
September 8, 2007 - December 31, 2007 = $1500/week or $450 for 2 days
January 1, 2008 - June 7, 2008 = $1600/week or $480 for 2 days
June 7, 2008 - June 14, 2008 = $2200/week
June 14, 2008 - August 23, 2008 = $2800/week
August 23, 2008 - September 13, 2008 = $2200/week
September 13, 2008 - June 6, 2009 = $1600/week or $480 for 2 days
June 7, 2008 - September 13, 2008 are week only rentals with arrivals/departures on Saturday. Other than those dates, there is a 2 night minimum to book.
