Rocky Shores is a newly refurbished log vacation home set well back from the road. Beautifully located on a large, secluded, beautifully landscaped, lot on the shore of Lake Superior, it is less than one mile from Porcupine Mountain State Park, one of the largest wilderness areas of the U. S. It features a beautiful fireplace in a large open-beam living room and a new deck, both of which look out onto a spacious yard and nearly 200 feet of Lake Superior shore line. Accommodations for up to 8 people. And it's also great for honeymooners. Passing in front of Rocky Shores is the road to beautiful Lake of the Clouds, snowmobile trails, hiking/cross-country skiing trails, and the Porcupine Mountain Ski slopes.

Rocky Shores living room features a warm comfortable setting with a large fireplace and comfortable furniture. In the evening, after hiking or skiing, sit in front of a roaring fireplace listening to good music from Northern Michigan University or Minnesota Public Radio. Bring your own CD's and cassettes to play on the stereo or watch your favorite shows on the crystal-clear satellite TV or VCR (We have a large collection of videos on hand).
Rocky Shores has a fully equipped modern kitchen, complete with city water, dishwasher, double sink, coffee maker, 2-door refrigerator, microwave and full-size electric range. Just bring your appetite. Eat at the bar or table in front of the large picture window.
The master bedroom is graced by a new king size bed and private half bath. Then there is the "pink bedroom" with its collection of wilderness animal figurines, and the spacious pine paneled "blue room" with its Scandinavian appointments. Both have comfortable twin beds.
The newly remodeled "art-deco" main bath features a marble walled tub surround
and extra large sink. There is adequate storage for everyone's toiletries and
lots of big soft clean towels.

In winter, just about a mile from Rocky Shores, is the Porcupine Mountain Ski area. Here, there are 10 miles of ski slopes with 15 different runs in an 80-acre location, with the highest vertical drop - 600 feet - in the Midwest. Skiers are serviced by a triple chair, double chair, T-bar, and handle tow.
There are also 40 km of groomed cross-country ski trails, plus snowmobile trails galore throughout the Porkies and Ontonagon County.
