Three years ago 'Engedi Lodge' was purchased as a vacation home for the DeLadurantey family...now they share it with you! The name Engedi can be traced to the Biblical times of David as a place of refreshment and renewal. Bring your family to the place that so many have found to be a place of refreshment from the toils and bombardments of daily life. Enjoy the creation and the Creator in a time of seclusion and privacy at Engedi. With 40 wooded acres abutting Michigan's Hiawatha State Ski Trails and county park, the Local Outdoor Activities are limitless. The back deck provides an excellent view of the Rapid River Falls, which leads to the Little Bay d' Noc. Winter provides a wonderland of pure white snowfall, bringing Engedi to it's Christmas peak of beauty. From the fully decorated tree in the 40x50 livingroom warming you from head to toe next to the fieldstone fireplace, to the spacious entrance bedecked in piney green garland! Every season in it's appeal with every hour in it's charm and cozy restful solitude.
Built in 1935, it has been transformed into a vacationer's abode. 5600 square feet of knotty pine and over 50'of glass doors facing the Rapid River. The Rapid River lies a mere 20' from your 70' deck. Five tastefully decorated bedrooms each with thier own lambs wool comforters. The rosewood 7' grand piano, constructed in 1890 sits in view of the glimmering Rapid River Falls. Plenty of room to have friends for dinner with seating for 18. The 40x50 livingroom holds a host of comforts, from the great fieldstone fireplace to the comfy large sofa and leather arm chair. Complete with candles and floral arrangements, Engedi is fully furnished with the comforts of home and rustically but elegantly decorated.
The desire and goal of our family is that our home would renew and refresh not only ourselves, but all who enter. For amongst the busyness of life there is a place of quiet rest.
