Description

Lodging in Silver City, Michigan, 5 miles east of the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park and 10 miles west of Ontonagon, MI in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

A Cabin UP North is a year round vacation log home nestled on 3.5 acres on the pristine shoreline of Lake Superior with 1000 feet of private beach.

This beautiful log cabin has 3 bedrooms and two baths and sleeps up to 8 guests. Two bedrooms are on the main level with a bath in between. One bedroom has a queen and a full sized bed, and the other bedroom has a full sized bed and access to the deck that overlooks Lake Superior.
 

Rates

Rates are based in double occupancy, minimum 3-day stay. Each additional guest is $15 per person per day with a maximum of 8 guests.

June 15th to December 15th: Rate is $255.00 per day.

Winter Holiday: December 16th to January 5th: Rate is $325.00 per day.

January 6th to March 15th: Rate is $285.00 per day.

March 16th to June 14th: Rate is $225.00 per day

Please, No Smoking and Pets are not allowed.

Amenities

The loft is the largest bedroom with a king sized bed and bath. Linens and towels are provided.

The spacious main level has an open floor plan with the kitchen and dining area blending into the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, convection oven, dishes, pots, pans, and necessary cooking utensils.

The living room features a wood burning fireplace for those cool evenings, satellite TV, VCR, radio/CD player. A door leads out to the deck where you will relax and enjoy breathtaking sunsets over Lake Superior and extraordinary color in the fall.

Gas forced air heat will keep you comfortable on the coolest of nights. There is also a patio, charcoal barbeque grill, and a firepit for those campfires under the stars.

Area Attractions

Relax in comfort while you enjoy the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park and all the wonderful outdoor recreation the area has to offer, or just enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior and the northwoods.

In winter there is downhill skiing at the Porkies, cross county skiing on the 30 miles of Nordic trails, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Trails connect all throughout the Upper Peninsula.

The Porcupine Mountains State Park is 5 miles west of the cottage where you will find miles and miles of hiking trails through the wilderness. Fish Lake Superior or the many nearby rivers and streams, try your luck hunting on the public lands around Ontonagon, visit the many waterfalls, or just sit on the deck, relax, and enjoy the sunset followed by a bonfire in the fire pit. You just might see a wonderful show of Northern Lights over the lake.
